Project Reforged is made with the sole purpose of enhancing your World of Warcraft experience and is not bound by any restrictions for personal use. You are free to edit the files, pick and choose what you want, and customize the project to your liking.
We will not troubleshoot modifications made to our patches beyond our own. If you modify our work, it is no longer our responsibility to fix it.
This is a passion project made by the people, for the people. We ask that you respect our decisions, our time, and above all, respect us as human beings. Constructive criticism, feedback, and suggestions are always welcome — however, harassment, personal attacks, entitlement, or abusive behavior toward any member of the Project Reforged team or its collaborators will not be tolerated. Treat others with the same respect and dignity you expect in return.
Public Use
Project Reforged may be used publicly under a few simple rules.
Project Reforged must be credited and linked in any public context, so that all contributors receive the recognition they deserve and their personal projects are acknowledged.
If you plan to use our patches publicly in any of your projects, please contact us first. We are fully in favor of open-source and unrestricted modding — we simply ask to know how and where our project is being distributed.
If you distribute our patches through any means other than our official download page, you may not include custom models created by Kraulspine, Appletrey, NetherStray, Kass, or the rest of the Epsilon crew. These permissions were acquired exclusively for Project Reforged. Please do not pressure or harass any of our collaborators for exclusive permissions — be respectful and mindful of their hard work. We hope you will honor this rule, as defying it would force us to encrypt certain patches, which we would strongly prefer to avoid.
No Project Reforged assets may be used for any kind of shop, trade, or monetary gain. This project is free and will remain free.
These terms exist to protect the work of every artist and contributor involved in this project. They are written in good faith and we trust the community to honor them in the same spirit.
